With the rapid development of the global technology industry, ZTE, a leading telecommunications technology company in China, is paving the way for future exploration and innovation with its new headquarters. The ZTE headquarters is a horizontally oriented structure, 60 meters high and over 120 meters wide. Featuring a unique design, this highly recognizable building hovers above the ground like an interactive ecosystem. Xingfa Aluminium contributes to urban development by supplying high-quality aluminum profiles for this landmark building. This structure is set to emerge as a symbol of digital transformation in China. Together with the surrounding buildings, it forms a vibrant business district with great economic potential.
Located at the entrance of the Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Base, ZTE’s new headquarters is a large-scale urban complex integrating various functions such as offices, businesses, and hotels. Designed by Büro Ole Scheeren, the project faces the sea and draws inspiration from “Tides” floating above the ground. The design theme, “Waves,” symbolizes the pivotal role enterprises play in Shenzhen’s technology industry. A diagonal atrium connects two “Water Droplets” within the wave-like structure, spanning the entire building and establishing flexible and immediate connections between floors.
Each floor of this expansive project is an open platform larger than a standard football field. Layer upon layer, these floors create an office cluster. At each level, layouts can be freely subdivided into plazas, hills, amphitheaters, and areas with “Cultural Ripples.” The project brings infinite possibilities for new spaces and innovative working environments. As an urban complex, the architectural structure provides multiple functions, including work, research, innovation, and leisure.
ZTE’s new headquarters boasts a modern and technologically advanced design that integrates sustainable development concepts with an elegant and harmonious exterior.
